Using a Maku Studio cabochon, students will learn step-by-step to create a  one-of-a-kind piece of bead embroidery.  Techniques will include gluing, bezeling a cabachon, working with irregular shapes, embellishing, edging and finishing.  Brief instruction will be given on creating a fine spiral rope chain which can be accommodated by the provided pin/pendant finding.

Additional Supplies Needed: Scissors, pliers or gripper for pulling needle through the backing, battery-operated task light ( if needed), magnification (if needed), and a bead mat. Students will need something to cut Fireline - clippers or nippers available in fishing departments work well as do children's Fiskars that you can get from a dollar store.  Students will also need very sharp scissors to trim the Lacy's Stiff Stuff (TM) and Ultrasuede (TM).
