Create a charming little beaded bottle with a removable embellished cork.  Using size 15\0 seed beads, learn how to cover a small bottle with peyote stitch and embellishments.  You will also learn how to make a nifty cork for your bottle using a focal bead, cork and simple wirework.

Instructor Name:  Mary Lynne Westervelt
Instructor Bio:  Mary Lynne has been an artist since childhood and has been beading for most of her life.  She has been fortunate enough to study with many of the top beading teachers in the country, including NanC Meinhart, Diane Fitzgerald, Jeanette Cook, Carol Cypher, Laura McCabe, Adrienne Gaskell and Sheri Serafini, to name just a few.  She was fortunate enough to Participate in Sherry Serafini's Master Class at the 2012 Bead & Button Show, and her finished collar was among the few from the Master Class published in the February 2013 issue of Bead & Button Magazine.  Mary Lynne is 1st Vice President of Programs for the Greater Kansas City Bead Society, and this will be Mary Lynne's fifth year teaching at Bead Blast.

Medium:  Circular peyote stitch, wirework
Level: Advanced Beginner and up.  Should have a working knowledge of peyote stitch.

Kit Fee:  Kit not required.  Kits are available at $30.00 for registered students only.
Kit includes:  25 mm x 52 mm glass bottle with cork
                      3 colors of size 15\0 Japanese seed beads
                      Assorted fire polish and seed beads
                      Flat top Bead Cap - diameter of bottle mouth
                      3" Fancy headpin
                      12 mm accent bead to math seed beads
                      Size 12 beading needle
                      Detailed color instructions
   Students will be allowed to bring their own material. In order to follow pattern provided, bottle size will have to be exact.
Additional supplies students will need: 6 lb test Fireline - smoke color OR One G thread in black, scissors, bead mat, battery operated task light, round nose pliers, needle nose pliers and flush cutters.
