Class Description: Intrigued by polymer clay, but think it's too difficult? Want to make unique accessories? Tips, techniques and demonstrations from two experts--learn to handle, process, manipulate and professionally finish your clay beads  or buttons. We will demonstrate clay processing using the pasta machine and food processor. To save time, you will receive processed clay in your kit. We will work in black and white, and you will make a spiral cane, a bull's eye cane and a striped cane. These basic canes will be put together to make beads or buttons, which will be
finished in class.  
Instructors:  Michele Wineland and Robin Young are local artisans whose work has been sold in local and regional
                   art shows in the mid-west.  They will show you the techniques you need to make lovely polymer clay

Time: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Length:  3 Hours 
Kit Includes:   Processed polymer clay in black and white, a rigid cutting blade, 4x4 ceramic tile, use of a pasta
                       machine and work surface, instructions, use of all other required tools.
Students may also wish to bring the following optional supplies: Clay shaping tools of their choice, X-acto
                                                                                                       knife, needle tool, roller/brayer.
Mail-in Registration Closes:  April 22, 2011.  Students May Register on line until April 29, 2011.
                                                                    Students may sign in day of class if seats are still available.
