Learn the popular Viking Knit technique. Once you learn this unique method of wire work you will be able to make beautiful and unique wire jewelry.
This beginner class will be taught by one of our own members Karen Kemp. Karen was an instructor in beading arts at the Amore Beads shop in Waldo. She enjoys working with wire as well as beads and will teach us the Viking Knit technique. This is a simple technique that uses wire with an Allen wrench (also called a hex key) to produce a beautiful end product that looks very detailed and works well with large beads or other wire work and/or by itself. You will be able to complete a bracelet in class.
The class fee is $20 for members and $34 for non-members. Students may use bead bucks to pay class fees. The Kit is required for the class. Kit fee of $6.00 will be paid directly to the instructor. Class registration closes November 10, 2009 and is limited to 10 students. You can access the registrion form at the top of this page or on the sidebar at the left. Late registration forms can be turned in at the November Meeting providing space is available.
